Do you get medical benefits from your full time employer?

i have a full time job and my employer does not offer any medical benefits.... is this legal i really need medical benefits and i thought that if you are a full time employee you were intitled to medical from your employer is this true or are they not obligatated to offer medical

Yes....medical, dental, and vision insurance. I've heard that many employers are cutting insurance benefits because of the high cost of it. I do not think they are obligated. Maybe you could talk to fellow employees and get your own group insurance going.....I know people have done that. Good luck!!!

Employers are not required to offer or pay for medical insurance. Benefits are used to lure employees, so look for another job that offers a benefit package.

Oh, and yes - my employer does offer good benefits, but that is because it is owned by physicians.

I have found that many full time office jobs do not necessarily offer benefits and those that do the employee pays a big chunk if it is a small office. But it is not illegal for the employer not to offer.

A company is not required to provide you with benefits. This is why most company no longer offers a pension plan. The law only requires a company to provide reasonable breaks and lunches and to pay minimum wage.

Medical benefits are never guaranteed from your employer, unless stated so at the time of employment. Most Union jobs bargain health care in their contracts. Some Company's provide it after a probationary period or after you have worked for a specific amount of time. Either way, it all depends on what you were promised at the time you were employed.

Yo
I dont know the exact number, but I believe if a company has 50 (example) employees or less, they dont have to offer benefits.

I worked for a non profit organization, they did not offer benefits, but they paid me an extra $300/mo to purchase my own.

Good luck!

A company has the choice weather or not to offer insurance. They can decide what if anything they cover It is perfectly legal for an employer to not offer any benefits. Every state has an insurance plan you can pay for

It depends upon the size of the work force at your location. Go to your state's department of labor website to see if your company should be offering benefits.

they are not required. My advice is to vote democrat since the republicans will not help you on this one
