This is a very sensible question. Many years ago, I went to law school on the G.I. Bill; otherwise I never could have afforded to go. But, I went in thinking, I may do law, I may do journalism. But, the main reason I went to law school is that I wanted to know how things work. I didn't want anyone to fuug with me.
Law school taught me that. As it turned out, I became an attorney and continue to stay with it three-decades-plus. But, you can do anything with a law degree. Great question! |

Great question, no really! According to the American Bar Association, every year 75% of practicing attorneys leave this profession, while 75% new attorneys [fresh grads] enter it. Average employment duration is approx. 3 years.
If we are to trust these numbers, the propensity of you working in this profession is very low. Which begs a different question: Is 4 years of schooling along with $120-200k USD in school debt worth working as Real Estate agent/broker, Program Manager or baker. (based on my close friends experience.)
BTW, i created a site for the working professionals to share feedback from their workplaces: the good and the bads... I would really appreciate if you visit us at http://www.linkednow.com and leave a review of your own. Great thanks in advance! |
