I don't. I think that drug test should be allowed in situations that could endanger safety. A driver, forklift operator, etc. I don;t think it is necessary for a cashier or janitor.
Now if the employee shows up underthe influence they should be fired, But a drug test for everyone, no. |

Any company doing business with the US Government has to drug test employees. As well as jobs dealing with public safety. Remember pot is a mild hallucinogen. Unfortunately it stays in you the longest and where heroin,speed,crack, and booze flushes out of you in a day. And those drugs do endanger the work place. |

No I don't think it should be a law that every employer has to drug test every potential employee. Most people are NOT drug users. This would be a huge expense just to catch a handful of druggies. Not to mention that the last thing we need is yet another government requirement.
I seriously doubt that drug users are taking jobs away from non-drug users. Someone addicted to drugs would be hard pressed to keep a regular job. |

its not a law. a lot of places dont drug test. and i dont think they should. its non of your employers business what you do on your own time. if you are obviously impaired at work, then you should be tested.
and to "somebody": so if someone smokes pot, they shouldn't have a job? maybe you should wonder whats wrong with you that all of these "potheads" have jobs and you cant bring yourself up to someone's level that's high to get one yourself. also, just because you smoke pot you are somehow unqualified to do your job? plus, are you saying that every law is fair? do you speed while your driving? stop trying to get us to pity you. |
