It should be legal, it is not the bad of a drug. It is no worse then alcohol and probably much better for the mind and body. It does work as a gateway drug but that is only becuase it is illegal and to get it you must go through drug dealers who typically are out to make a profit and do not care about what drugs they have to sell to make money. Marijuanas illegality also funds a vast criminal element throughout the united states and the rest of the globe that could be reduced by legalizing it. The tax revenue earned by the goverment could be put towards education or something beneficial to society. Less tax revenue would have to be spent on on fighting the drug, this money could then be diverted to better uses. The other day a kid at my college sold 3 grams of marijuana to an undercover cop, they raided his house the next day and shot him in the chest although he was unarmed, they ended up finding 2 grams of weed in his apartment.

On the other hand pot is not completely harmless. Some people do abuse the drug. They smoke it all day every day. They have no motivation to succeed in life, no drive, no money and little self respect. When pot gets boring they move onto pills, cocaine, mushrooms, or heroin. They end up in jail or on welfare. The fact is most people who use the drug are relatively responsible. Lots of doctors, lawyers, judges, professors and even police officers use the drug regularly and most lead succesful lives and are respected by their friends and colleagues.

no, its bad enough that tobacco is legal when it causes allsorts of terrible cancers, causes so many other problems such as money problems, serious addictions, family problems and it can even harm others around the smoker which just isnt fair especially when its a child and the parent smokes. so what would happen if weed was legal think of all the terrible things. and also why do you think it should be legal?

No because it dulls the mind and people are stupid enough already. People also tend to slack off when they're on weed and they do stupid things which will cost us in the end.

No it should not be legal. A drug is a drug is a drug is a drug. It is habit forming. Most that smoke weed go on to harder drugs. It will burn your brains out in time. If that does not stop you then this should. Weed as you call it changes your body and you will produce physically or mentally damaged offspring and that is a proved scientific fact.

def not because too many dealers lace it with pesticides and other stupid stuff that gets people sick. also, weed is responsible for a ton of anxiety and mental disorders like schizophrenia. lastly, why support drug dealers when you know that the drug money will go towards something illegal like guns or whatever.

the THC levels and other chemicals in weed these days is super high and dangerous.

Yes it should be legal. I don't believe no one have ever over dosed on weed.
some say it can lead to stronger drugs but so can any thing else that a person with an addictive personality can get there hands on. the only reason it is illegal is the government does not know how to tax it.
I have smoked it for 45 years and I may be just as normal as the next guy

I have no problem with weed.. in fact a lot of my friends and family smoke... HOWEVER.. the economy is already so ****** up, why **** it up more? Its like giving stupid ppl the magic stick to change the world.. its never gonna happen.. in other words, majority (not saying you) of people who smoke pot are irresponsible, childish, careless, lazy individuals who are stupid about it already, like smoking in public, or while driving. If everyone could be an adult about it and be responsible and do it in the privacy of your own home WITHOUT operating a vehicle while your high, then id say yes. But until that happens ( when a pig flies out of my ***) then id say no. Dont give majority of irresponsible people even more power and opportunity to be even more irresponsible.

Weed comes from Africa, and Africa has the most DEADLY pestisides in the world that attach themselves to the weed.

But, weed has not yet been known to man to have any fatalities. Weed is an herb, it comes from the Earth, it should not be illegal, it should be our choice to smoke it.
