My husband talked to his boss yesterday about taking FMLA time off due to our baby having medical issues (she's 5 months old). His boss basically was not happy about it, said "whatever". So my husband sent him an email last night and told him he was taking today off. His boss called him and told him to come in, that he didn't give enough notice. My husband had no work or projects pending and he is now at work but upset. Any thoughts on this situation?
Additional Details
He does qualify. He took some time off for our baby's birth, then 1 week a few months later, all under FMLA. It has not yet been a year. He has the paperwork.

first off does he qualify? has he been there a year, do they have more than 50 employess if not there is no FMLA for him, secondly it does have to be approved by the employer and paperwork must done you just can't say i need FMLA and away you go |
