Don't even consider a school unless it is ABA approved.
Generally, employers (usually law firms) want employees with BACHELOR's degrees. Those legal "certificates" really aren't worth the paper they are printed on.
Warning!> Jobs in the field of Law are drying up FAST!! This is not a good field to invest money and/or time in. Many reasons. THE main reason?......We simply have WAY TOO MANY Legal Professionals - we have a GLUT!! ("Legal Professionals" includes, but is not limited to: Attorneys/Lawyers, Paralegals, Legal Assistants, Legal Secretaries, Bailiffs, Court Reporters, etc, etc)
Now the law schools know this >that the economy/market is SATURATED! But they will not tell you the truth. A law student is easy money for a law school. A law school has to make very little investment in a law student, compared to other areas of study.
So, what does this mean for you? Even IF you finish your studies in the field of Law, you probably will not be able to find a job when you are done. There aren't enough jobs to go around for the lawyers/attorneys, and so many of them are working "down" - as Paralegals, Legal Assistants, Legal Secretaries, Bailiffs, Court Reporters, etc, etc, just to attempt to pay some of THEIR bills <THIS would be your competition. And the competition is FIERCE!!
If you want a JOB when you are done with your studies, consider and look into the field of HEALTHCARE! <THIS is where the jobs are! and scholarships!
Good luck. |
