I went for a license that is notorious for being strict and safe with other people and their money. They told me the worse thing you could do is COVER up what was in your past involving felonies or abuses.
They said they couldn't guarantee that you would/could get the license or job, but your attitude and honesty could definitely overcome the past or most of it, and that the decision really lay with the Commissioner... After carefully reviewing the information and you.
It can't hurt to try, be totally honest and lay it all out there. If they find out AFTER you have been hired that you covered up ANYTHING, you may as well kiss all hope goodbye cause that's worse then being honest and having them trust you again.
I say admit to it, tell the story and see what they say. Felony probation to me is almost a conviction, I mean you did something to get that right? The worse thing you could do is cover it up, the best you can do is look them in the eye, and tell the truth and see what they say. |
