I hate my job and i dont want to go anymore and i dont want to do a 2 weeks notice, Im not going to put it on my references i only worked there for 2 months. will it show u on my permanent record?

i have worked at this other place for about a year and a half but i wanted a second job for the summer and now that school has started i dont really have time to worry about the second one i got, but i still am going to stay at my other job b.c i love it there....so is this a good idea to just not show up and quit?

There isn't some magic "permanent record" someplace for job history. But in an interview, you'll probably be asked what you were doing during those two months if you have an open period on your resume. Lying about it can get you fired if they find out. |

the real world is not like high school-there are no "permanent records".
i don't mean to sound preachy, but you need to accept responsibility in the adult world, and that means quitting a job the right way, not just stop showing up. Even if you give a few days notice, it will be a good thing for you to know you confronted the situation instead of taking the cowardly way out. I am not maening to criticize you, but facing adversity is an important thing to learn-might as well start now. Good luck. |

unless the fbi or something is trying to track you down, it may come up that you worked there.. but a regular employer has no way of finding out, unless they have some sort of investigation team as part of hiring, and if thats the case, its a top security job. i wouldnt worry about it, but i would write a letter of resignation, even stating that the situation is so incompatible, that your last day will be today. |
