because it makes it unlawful for discrimination against age, gender martial statues etc, does that mean that they can't put height restrictions on flight attendants?

Height is not a protected characteristic -- so no it's not discrimination. |

height would be a safety issue - not discrimination - if you are too tall, you won;t be able to safely do you job if you have to keep ducking all the time |

My Aunt Phliggy, won a court case against TWA long ago. She was descriminated against because she resembled a mid-sized giraffe. Also she had horrendous body odor. In any event, she was awarded a job and back pay, but then TWA suddenly went out of business, and all she had was a letter from the court saying that even though she was unnaturally deformed and smelled of unwashed feet, that she deserved to be a flight attendant! It just goes to show you that America is the land of opportunity. |

Yeah, fat people and short people, you cannot be discriminated against. Easy way around it for the airline though, just say you're a lousy worker, or fails to follow instructions etc. etc. |
