Hello -

I have a similar sad story to everyone else. I co-signed for a motorcycle for my ex. Three months later he moved out of my place and in with another... girl (although there are other names i would rather call the both of them, but since children read this page.....). He has been late on the payments and I'm getting nervous. He refuses to tell me his new address. My question is: Is it my legal right to know where the bike is parked? Since I'm the co-signer? If I call the laoner and tell them that the bike is NOT at the address they have on file will they contact him and force him to update it?

Auto finance is what I do for a living and since your just as responsible for the payment of this loan as your ex is yes you do have the right to know where it is.

Call your lender and tell them exactly what has happened.
