No, all they have to offer you is a comparable position.
The definition of comparable position has been the cause of more court cases than any other labor related issues, and it still hasn't been defined. |

unless you are covered by a contract the answer is no, they are under no obligation to even keep you |

I believe so, as long as you are well enough to do the job and as long as the position still exists. If they down sized and got rid of your position in the time you were off they must provide a job that you are capable of performing at the rate you were being paid when you return. Same goes for maternity leave. |
