EEOC question about hiring.?

If my company claims to be EEOC compliant, do they have to advertise a job opening or can they just promote the assistant manager to full manager?

They don't have to adverstise crap. They can promote from within if they want.

They can promote whoever they want to, as long as they don't exclude a more qualified minority. And if you believe you are more qualified, you'd have to be able to show the EEOC that you are.

They don't have to advertise anything.

they do have to post the job inside the company and outside as well

many compains will promote within but they still have to post thats what equal means
