So 2 weeks ago, i booked off halloween. I told them i couldn't work, and wrote it down. They booked me for halloween however, and im curious to know if this is legal? i was the first person to book it off, before everyone else. there were some people that didn't even book it off, but still didn't have to work on halloween. shouldn't they be working it?

It may not be fair, but your employer is legally allowed to request that you work whenever they want or need you to work. |

we made a request for that day off.. that does not mean you get it off..
yes, they are allowed to not give you the day off your requested...and yes it is legal. |

Have you asked your employer? Perhaps they forgot your requested it off or maybe they will allow you to switch with someone else. But if your employer says no, you can either work on Halloween or find another job. |
