i'm filling out an "uppity" app.....It has been twelve years since i've had to remember all the dates of previous!!!!!!!!! how do i get an accurate list?(there will be a background check...) so I have to be at least close

Since you're one of my favourite clients I will answer this lol. I don't know what an uppity app is but I wouldn't want to work for an uppety company. You only need to go back 10 years for anything you apply for. As for remembering you should have income tax forms that go back that far no? Those will give you dates and what not. Or if you remember the company just contact them and they should have the info in thier archives although they might not be happy about digging it up lol |

I would try to get a copy of your social security report it may have it or look at past tax returns if for some strange reason you keep your records that long. |

If you are trying to go back beyond 12 years, or even anywhere close to that, there's probably noplace you can get the exact info. Prior employers aren't likely to have records available that far back. But then again, it won't be available on a background check either so if you're a little off, it shouldn't matter. |

Well...the surefire way would be to do your own background. Call your old businesses. Check your tax history, usually if you use a tax service they provide this for you at no charge. |

Call your prior places of employment. Speak to someone in Human Resources. They should be able to provide you with the proper dates. This is not an unusual situation. Since these people receive calls from prospective employers, and are able to give them the information, it is certainly available to you. Just explain that you need exact dates. Call first. If the query must be placed in writing, you will be so advised. |
