what is the termonology used for employees travelling from their residence to work who may be involved in an accident. employees are deemed to be at work even though in transit

If you are traveling for your job is different than going to your job. It is called an accident if you are on your way to work and you can't draw Workman's comp. If you have an accident while at work in transit for your job you can collect Workman's comp but it is still called an accident |

if you are getting paid while travelling you are at work if you are not getting paid you are not at work you are on your way to work |

If the employee is just commuting between home and work, they are on their own time and if involved in an accident they aren't deemed to be at work.
If they are travelling on business and are in some kind of accident, that would be deemed to be a work issue. |
