hi
my sis works weekends at a local large supermarket. she called in sick on the sunday before new years eve. she had a return to work interview which was signed off without any probs.
she was called into a meeting last week by two managers saying they had a report of her being seen out on New Years Eve and that she faces being disciplined.
does anyone know where she stands as she was seen out 3 days after calling in sick and it was not a day where she is contracted to work? she was also at a friends house on new years eve and not out.

No, they can't legally do anything. She wasn't scheduled to work on the day that she was seen. |

If she is in an "employment at will" state the Company can do whatever it chooses. No Federal law has been violated. |
