The first part means you will be working in a call centre phoning hundreds of fashion businesses each day and as long as you have a brain and sound ok on the telephone you get the job but if you know a lot about fashion especially the big named ones, gucci etc you will be given all the shifts available and worked until you are going to scream. I have done this type of job you 10 years and it can be brain destroying, if you don't reach your targets you will be told you wont have a job, ideally this type of call centre would be suitable for young females that spend a lot of money on designer clothes - I am well past that age group. If you feel that you can spend all day phoning at least 60 people per hour and trying to convince them your product is the best then good but you will find that for 6 hours work per day only about 3 people will agree to see your rep, if you are lucky. |

It could mean lots of things, but I think it means you should know the major designers and be able to identify their work at red carpet events. |

Before and after red carpet events like the Oscars, Grammys, Emmys, Tonys etc the celebrities who attend these events are interviewed and they are always asked who they're wearing. You should be watching these shows (Instyle etc) to know who the designers are. You should have a knowledge of clothing so that you are able to spot the designer just from looking at the outfit.Study all the fashion books, Vogue, Elle, Cosmo, Instyle, etc. Over time you'll get an "eye" for fashion. |
