if i shot a car with a bb gun when i was younger but the lady dropped the charges because of hail damage could i still join the marine corps or would i be a felon.

No. You need a conviction as an adult to be considered a felon. |

If you wern't convicted you wouldn't be a felon. Shooting a car with a BB gun would probably fall under misdemeanor vandalism. |

Were you charged with a felony, and conviced of that offense? If so, you are a felon. If charges were dropped and you were never convicted, no, you aren't. |

This is just a wild guess, but i would say that they would only consider you a felon, if you were actually charged with the crime, and im sure that if you were under 18 they wouldn't take those records into consideration, as you would have been classes as a minor
