Finding dates of employment?

Finding dates of employment?

I have worked at the same job for 17 years and find myself now looking for a job. I am filling out an application and it is asking for my last 5 employers. I can remember who they are but the dates that I worked for them are gone. Can anyone guide me in finding these out. Thanks!

Most places ask where you've worked for the past 7 years, or something like that.

If you don't know the dates, leave them out. Tell the interviewer that it's been so long that you don't remember.

That's the truth and anyone will understand that. They are looking for folks who job hop every year or two. Your 17 years says a great deal in favor of your job stability.

If you have been there 17 years just list the year.

You do not need five jobs.
One is sufficient. Ten years is all you need to go back.

Good luck.

That is of little importance. They may check but if you be honest they will probably be more interested in your skills. Approximate dates are ok

You can call their HR and ask them. They will give that information to you no problem. If they are smaller, try calling the boss.

Honestly, with a tenure like that, I don't think the dates would be too important that long ago as long as they aren't WAY off.
