I sit on a hiring committee, and I can safely say that I would push you onto the interview segment of the process. Without meeting the individual, I can't say for sure, but the job related skills are interesting. Age might hurt the applicant a bit though. |

Impressive credentials for a beginning fire fighter - enough to get an interview. Some on the job experience as an auxillary or volunteer would help. Also, make sure you don't have a typo on your resume or application like you did in the question ("higher" instead of "hire").
But not bad for starters. Competition can be pretty fierce. |
