I am starting a new job as a paralegal, this is my first job as a paralegal and he is going to have me do dictaion. Is it hard? What should i expect?

if you know how to type, dictation shouldn't be bad. Paralegal and legal secretary are 2 different things though, secretaries usually take dictation, paralegals draft legal docs and assist in closings. You might be working for a small firm that has you doing both jobs though. If this is your first paralegal job, you will need a lot of training, esp if you don't know what dictation is :) Dictation these days is usually done w/ recorder that you plug into and type away. If you are good w/ grammar, punctuation and spelling, you will do fine. Good luck. |
