I am a full time employee, i been working for this company for some time but, today we all had a meeting with my boss and he was telling us that he was gonna cut our hours, now if qualify as a full time employee and i get pay for my holidays to have some extra money but how am i gonna do this if he cuts my hours?, is this crap Legal?, what's the point to get pay for a holiday then if they cut my hours?, i was talking to my co-workers and they say they do this all the time, but my boss was mad that he had to do it and he said that the reason why they want him to do it is because he's boss and he's boss' boss didn't get his bonus so they were trying to save hours...who can i contact about this issue??? Depends how bad you want your job........make a fuss and your out.......jobs are really hard to find.......they are not cutting hours because they have to much work........they are trying to save your job and the company...........sounds like you work for the big 3. |

Holiday pay is a benefit that employers give to their employee. Unless you are working for the government then you don't have a case. There is no illegal situation here. Employers are fully capable of cutting hours to their employees. Be grateful that you have a job right now. |

Contact your local employment office for details. I think if they have reason to cut your hours with other employees too - you may not have much to say so but you can always ask for written reason and take that to your local employment office or legal adviser for more details. |
