HR-Should i put this (past employment history) as a reference in my resume?

I used to at a local chain convenient store part time for little over three months, but it didn't end up well--got fired. Later i got job in restaurant. Recently I am applying a job in hospital pharmacy as a pharmacy technician.
Will it be found out if i don't use the job i had in convenient store as reference? Because i really don't want them to be contacted, or should I just put it into my application, but choose "NO" under "can we contact this employer"? What is the best way to do it?

I would definitely leave out a 3-month, part time job even if not fired. The short term of the job works against you and unless there's something that you did that would really be important to show experience, there's no benefit. Leave off job applications as well.
Your resume should show your experience and abilities. It does not have to be just a list of every place you ever worked. |

You should list it in case it turns up in a background check. You can always ask that they not contact the employer for a reference, which might not be a bad idea. |
