Hating job?
Find answers to your legal question.

Hating job?

Would you quit your job if you have worked there for 3 years, every weekend. The managment cuts your hours from 40 to 30 a week, then a few months later reduces your pay from approximatly 1000 bi weekly to 700 bi weekly. this pay cut only affects certain employees( weekend shift). So you get hired by a sister company that offeres to pay you higher. Your current employer doesn't want to lose you and offers you the money back. you accept. they cancel your transfer, then never live up to the promise. Would you think that is considered a good cause for quitting?

Unfortunately, you didn't have the offers in writing. I'd call the sister company to see if they're still interested. If once again your current employer wants to keep you, get it in writing! Don't quit unless you've got a back up plan for your bills. To do so would just be foolish.

Once again I guess you would need to read documentation you might of sign when first getting the job. Are you consider contract or full time employee. Also, I would suggest getting on the internet to see if their any similar type of companies looking for employees. Companies will perfer to hire you with out having to train you.

My brother was in a similar sitiation. He was making millions for his boss, but got paid scientist wages.

His unit changed hands through company takeovers a number of times and his bonuses cancelled despite promises in writing that noone would be disadvantaged.

He stayed in his job and eventually others resigned. He would sit in front of the supervisor with the paper open to the jobs section with big red circles around better paying positions usingh his skills.

Management eventually backed down but his unit was shifting owners quite often, with much the same cycle.

One guy who looked after the computers full time was sacked but hired back for a few months and earnt more than he did previously for the year. Also sections that could not do their jobs properly were given more staff and a wage rise while those that held everything together hardly got a thankyou.

If you can find a better job go for it. Either wait until everyone else leaves and you might have to run the company.

His situation may have been a little different as he was perhaps individually the biggest money earner for the company, and enjoyed the challenge of his work, more so than money.
