friday gone by means of a scoring matrix they laid me off, but what got me was the other driver on the other site who only had a training license which expired 3 month ago and was not renewable which meant the company would have to put him through the whole course again.they kept him on. so basically they have kept him on and laid me off and they going to train him up to do my job which i am fully qualified to do have i case for unfair dismissal

No, your telehandler skills will not have been the only things taken into consideration when they made the decision. |

Companies making redundancies can use any criteria they like to decided on redundant positions - as long as it is fair, including last one in - first one out, least qualified out, etc.
You could ask the employer by what method selection of the redundant positions was made. |
