Hey, I got a e-mail and it said he'll give me $200.00 if I let his buyers send money to my paypay acct. I am selling my laptop on eBay and he said he lived in Europe and couldn't access PayPal and wants his customers to send me their payments and me to take out my 200 then send him the rest via MoneyGram. do you think this is ok, safe? would you do it? I was looking at MoneyGram just now and they require your SSN it says to help prevent criminal activity and it kinda worried me? need help kinda bad!!!!!!!
I have a 1 yr. old adorable baby girl and a beautiful gorgeous husband and I don't wanna go to jail, i wouldn't, would I?

That sounds shady I wouldn't do it. You most likely wouldn't go to jail but you might get your id stolen. BAD IDEA.

This is a total scam. The trick is, once you give this person your PayPal information, he has full access to your account. They will then drain your account, change the password to lock you out, probably have access to your bank account information you tied to your PayPal account, and you'll be left with absolutely nothing.

Best advice is... don't fall for this scam!

You should be.
Never trust any invitation to part with your banking details, especially if the request comes in this way.
Ignore the e-mail and any offers that come with it.
The African connection seems to have died down recently but this is yet another scam.

No, paypal is not a bank and you have exactly ZERO protection through paypal. The person can get the payment reversed through their bank which paypal will have to accept and then paypal will take the money back from you that they gave you and meanwhile you have given them a MoneyGram, which gives you no protection. ALSO DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER TO ANYONE THAT YOU DON'T KNOW IF YOU DON'T WANT THEM TO STEAL YOUR IDENTITY!!

Report this to paypal and to ebay.
