How do I hire day labor legally ?

I'm from California and would like to hire day labor to help around the house. what kind of insurance do I need for them and how do I get it? Thanks

There are plenty of labor agencies to go to which would be your best bet as they will take care of insurance, taxes, etc.

To be legal you would need to check their authorization to work in the US by completing an I-9 (you'll need to keep this in your records for several years), you will have to pay social security taxes, worker's compensation insurance....

You're much better off using an agency. Way too much liability for you to hire day labor around the house.

u have stay near them while they work else any of ur member can stay .keep ur costliest thing in sake custody.main thing dont treat them as servent they will work happliy
