How do i get an employers attention?

i have not long left college , and i have sent loads of applications and cvs out and havent heard anything back from them. i really need a job. can any1 help me ??

This really seems a common practice now among employers, they advertise for staff, and then don't acknowledge receipt of application, and fail to inform interviewees, if they have not been successful.it makes me so mad. All I can say is to ring them up and see if you can get any joy that way, because believe me they really don't give a toss.

You may want to try an agency that will help you find employment. If there are several in your area register with them all.

You can also follow-up on the applications you've sent out by calling the companies and verifying that they've received the applications.
