How do you quit a job you just started?

I just got a job (federal job, part time), work for few days, just finds out my i got accepted another job offered, it pay better. How to I tell my current employee about it and not to damage my reputation and go for the other job.

Why would you damage your reputation, just quit. Tell your boss that the other job is paying better. he will understand.

Accept the new job, but tell the new employer that you wish to give fair notice to your current employer. Once that is settled, you can give your current boss a termination date.

What reputation you have only been there a few days. Just forget about it but since it is a Fed job make up some kind of human rights story so if they come back at you it will be a civil right issue that they probable will drop

by telling your boss, "This job isn't working out as I'd hoped and I've been offered another position. My last day will be (date) and I will do everything I can to help make the transition as smooth as possible while I'm here."

Follow it up with a written resignation letter and you're outta there.
