The hours stipulated for day shift is applicable for night shift also. Under FLSA, no extra pay need be given for night. The rule is if nonexempt workers work over 40 hours in a work week, they must be paid overtime.The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) does not limit the number of hours that an employee can work in a day or in a week, it only stipulates that if nonexempt workers work over 40 hours in a work week, they must be paid overtime. |

Unless you are a minor, there are no restrictions if you are in the US. Other countries might have different laws, and you don't say where you are. |

As stated by Judy there is no restrictions in the U.S if you are of age. There is only a problem if you are not getting days off regularly.
Usual is 12 hour shifts not counting lunch and breaks. Some places do 13. Some do 8. |
