I've listed them in the order of the likelihood of earnings:

A lawyer makes the most money especially if the business has steady clients who return, the ability to take on cases that are lucrative or specializes. A lawyer can go into private practice on his own or with a partner, work in a firm - large or small or for a governmental entity. http://www.payscale.com/research/US/Job=Attorney_%2F_Lawyer/Salary

The training is rigorous and you had better be able to memorize many terms. http://www.bls.gov/K12/law02.htm

Veterinarians

http://www.bls.gov/K12/nature04.htm#pay The middle half of all vets earned between $56,450 and $94,880 in 2006. The lowest-paid 10 percent earned less than $43,530 a year. The highest-paid 10 percent earned more than $133,150. It is a medical field and vets can have their own clinics or work with another vet, work for a state or federal program. It is a medical field and you will make life and death decisions. People are paying more to extend their pet's life and health, including operations, CAT scans, etc.

How much does this job pay? - singer
http://www.bls.gov/K12/music06.htm#pay
Earnings depend on how popular a performer is. But musicians often have to hold down other jobs (called "day jobs") while they're building their careers.

About 40 percent of musicians, singers, and related workers work for themselves. They usually are paid for each performance or recording. Their earnings depend on how many jobs they can get.

Other musicians, singers, and related workers work for organizations for a set amount of pay. The middle half of these musicians earned between $10.81 and $36.55 an hour in 2006. The lowest-paid 10 percent earned less than $7.08. The highest-paid 10 percent made more than $57.37. The most successful musical stars can make much more.

There is a huge difference for all of those, especially the singer and the lawyer, between the lowest and highest paid person in that profession.

On the average, the vet probably makes the most. But the highest paid lawyers and singers would most likely make more than the highest paid vet.

Well this answer is simple. WAY TOO MUCH for what they're really worth. Figure wise singer: $1,000,000 per album roughly. Vet: $140,000 per year, and a good lawyer $500,000.
