How should I deal with a noisy Light above my desk? ?

It is about 60 feet above my desk and doesn't even light up it just makes this loud buzzing sound. LOUD. It is eating away at my brain and I feel like I am going to lose my mind and do something stupid like throw something at it But I will probably get in trouble. What is the company's responsibility? I believe my hearing is being damaged because when I leave work I can still hear it for hours and I always have to say "What"? to people more and more. Not to mention the stress this adds. My manager says he sent an email about it but that never solves anything. Please help I can't work like this!!!
