I'm about to graduate high school and debating between joining the coast guard for training or taking college classes in police science. It would be financially easier for me to join the cg (and might look better than college on a police job application), but I have girlfriend and I'm afraid I won't be able to see her what should I do?

Do what you want, you got your whole life ahead of you. If you are not joining the CG because you can't stand to be away from the gf for a while, then you are not coast guard, or any military branch, material. But to be a cop, go to police academy, pass, apply to become a police officer. |
