I graduated 2008, i tried the college thing and it wasn't for me,Ive alwas had a hard time in school. my question is how can i become an assistant for an event planner so i can learn the buisness? do assistants make money while learning or is it like an internship? should i call email or just walk in to talk to them. any guidance is helpful. thank you!

I just applied for a job with an event management company. The two bosses wanted a receptionist/pa for their business. You could try and apply for reception jobs in this area which would then give you an idea of what the business is about and get your foot in the door and then along the way you could broaden your knowledge and skills and move forward with your career. In Australia, cadetships are paid jobs while you learn and as a receptionist you would be earning good money too. |
