are you employed with the company that issued the check?
gone through orientation and training, completed an I-9 form and W-4?
the legitimate mystery shops (there are a few legitimate companies) don't pay in advance and don't pay anything near that amount. mystery shops pay from: refunds-on-amount- spent to $10.00-$20.00 a shop for those shops that do not require a purchase.
for most shops they only refund your money and nothing more.

They usually look legit. They never are.
Real mystery shoppers are regular employees of the business for which they're doing the shopping, the kind of employees who get regular paychecks and attend meetings at the office, and usually have plenty of other duties as well. They are not recruited by ads on the internet, and they don't send you a large check to shop and then send money back to them.
The check in your hand will turn out to be drawn on someone other than the company supposedly employing you. If they are fortunate, the bank will catch it the day it goes through. If not, their account may be overdrawn and some of their legitimate checks may be returned, ruining their reputation with their creditors. There are real victims to this, innocent victims who did not fall for a scam, but just had the misfortune of having one of their checks stolen or their account number compromised. If you don't want to be a victim, too, stay away from these schemes! |

Okay, I've never signed up for a mystery shopper before but I've been looking into it for the past couple of days now. I just want to know a list of websites I know not to apply for when applying for mystery shopper jobs. So I will not have to go through the same stages some people are going through now. Every time I enter a website for mystery shopper the word scam always pop up. So if any one can please give me a list of websites for mystery shopper who have scams going on I would really appreciate it. Remember only the websites that u know not think but know they are scams. |
