It's All Good
Child Labor laws vary some from state to state. In Illinois you could work with a permit, but only certain times of the day & under certain conditions. When I was 14 I babysat at a church and then when I was 15 I cleaned rooms at a hotel. Click on the link provided in my source and then click on your state to see the laws of that state.

ps. Extra money is great but don't ever ever put a job before school while you're this young! Your education is key to having "extra money" when you're an adult. Best of luck to you!

There are no jobs for adults with over 2 million people out of work. That means no jobs for teenagers either. Working with pets require a background in animal care. Stores are closing everyday because people don't have any spendable income to keep them open. Do your self a favor, stay in school, get the best education you can and be successful in you career. You have another 50 yrs to work, so enjoy your youth!
