I'm 15 and looking at getting a job that pays around 8 bucks an hour and in about 2 1/2 years i want to have..

at least $5,200. if i save all my money in the bank from having a job that pays 8 bucks or more and working at least 2 times a week lets say all 2 1/2 years...would i be close to my goal??

at 15 the hours you can work are limited especially after Labor day until June 1 of next year or when you turn 16.
with the restrictions and then the fact that you will probably need to keep your hours under 20 hours per week once you are 16 (so you have plenty of time for school) you would have no problem saving that amount of money as long as you stay on a budget.

you would not have to save every bit of what you would earn,
if you work an average of 18 hours a week at $8.00 per hour for the next 2&1/2 years you will take home about $13,000.00.
average just 12 hours a week for the whole time and you will take home about $8700.00.

Well are you going to sit here and honestly tell us that you are trying to save up that much money and not spend one dollar of it? Movies, dates, purses, bags, whatever, not spening any of it? If thats the case, you should look into opening a saving account and just put all your money into there...or divide it up so you have "some" spending money, then SAVINGS :) Also, depends how many hours you wanna work per week.
