I need help on what to do. I recently got hired as a mobile security guard and I have to do patrols at night. One of them being a cemetery. I have to lock up the gates, make sure everyone is out, Check the crematory and the mausoleum to ensure they're locked. Im very scared of this place at night. When being traineed by a female co-worker, she says if she can do it then I can do it. But I dont want to, i get really bad vibes. How do I approach my boss about this. I dont want to let them down and get fired for not being able to do my job after they spent hours and so much effort training me. And i do like my job if it wasnt for the cemetary or old prison.
Additional Details
Hard to believe some people dont know whats in a crematory. There are actual cadavers lying in there and you walk by them.

Well, OK, you have a right to quit. But if that's part of the job, either you do the job or quit. But first try to figure out just what you are afraid of. Are you truly afraid, or are you creeped out? |

Hard to believe a grown person would be afraid of ghost in this day and age. However, since you are, start by making a few rounds in the day light.
When you feel comfortable with the surroundings, you will loose your fear. After doing the job for a while and never having seen a ghost, you will realize ghost don't exist, and your fear is unreasonable and you will loose it. |

I think you've been watching too many horror movies. You can bet your co-worker was creeped out by those places when she first started so you might want to consider finding out how she handled it before approaching the boss. |

there are allot of people out of work be lucky you have a job.but if you can't do it find something else first before you give notice so you don't get stuck out of a job.your boss is not going to let you not check the cemetery and the other parts of it.either you want the job or not if you can't handle the job they will give it to someone who can. |
