I haven't signed a contract, but I have made a verbal agreement. However, I have handed in my notice with my current employers. How can I call everything off? Or is it too late?

So,your not sure if the new job will be as good as the last job?
Why not? You haven't even tried it yet. I'd go for the new job. Their must be a reason you went for it in the first place.

You can not call off the notice you handed in. If your company has hired someone or started a job search you will not be getting your old job back, especially if they were mad you decided to leave in the first place. You do not have to accept the new job, but I would. There is a reason you accepted it in the first place and you should stick with it, and see if you are happy. |

Since you haven't signed a contract with your new employer you are under no obligation to start.
But you have handed in your notice so you need to talk to your current employer and basically see if they will 'take you back.' |

Just go into your boss and say, actually , I have had a rethink and I would like to revoke my notice. If you only just did it and it has not been forwarded to Payroll & HR , you shouldn't have a problem. HOWEVER if you are average at best at your job, they might say "sorry love, too late, you are toast"

Oh and, regards the new job, don't pull out till you have successfully retrieved your notice back. THEN ring them and say , sorry, I've been counter-offered at my existing job and I am staying there. Just say your job offered you a massive pay rise to stay. It happens all the time. |

to ask yourself what are the good points and write down your
concerns. Something gave you a reason to look for a new job. LUCK |

outline what you contribute to their team and show appreciation for the past employment.
