I AM getting the run around.?

3 months ago I was told I was terminated but then I recieved my Record of Employment (ROE) and it stated that I quit. Just a week ago now I recieve a new ROE (without asking for one for the change on it) stating that I was dismissed. Can they after 3 months go around changing my ROE. And if it was stated I quit, can they change it even if I did request(basically could they lie about the reason because I ask them to?)? This is a large company with union and large HR, I called HR and it seemed the lady there was babbling for words when I asked her this and why I would want it changed after 3 months anyways. They told me to contact the recruiter lady but she so far has not answered the phone. I am pretty sure I was unlawfully terminated in the first place as it was done by phone by this lady, and now she is messing with my government documents, HR told me that she said I requested the change when I did not and I know she will have no proof of it. What should I do besides contacting this recruiter and face/face with her, should I seek mabey a legal consultation or advice?

The problem is I was not terminated, I did not recieve any termination letter (this is a big company you can't just terminate someone) also they said I had quit on the original ROE. On Gov of canada website they can't falsify info, you do not mess up a ROE and then correct it 3 months later, sorry

I don't see what the problem is. You were terminated and they sent you a corrected ROE to reflect that accurately. |
