I BOOK MY HALL TWO YEARS FROM MY DATE...WHICH IS FEB 13 2010!! THE GUY THAT I BOOKED WITH RAN AWAY WITH MY DOWN PAYMENT...NOT ONLY DID NO ONE CALL ME TO INFORM ME...WHEN I CALL THEM THEY TOLD ME TO FINS ANOTHER HALL...LONG STORY SHORT I WENT IN ***** WITH THE MANAGER AND GOT ANOTHER CONTRACT WITH EVERYTHING HE PROMISED ME FOR THE SAME MONEY...AFTER NOT HEARING FROM MY HALL FOR SOME TIME I WALKED IN AND HE TOLD ME TO TAKE ME MONEY AND FIND ANOTHER PLACE... I HAVE EVERYTHING BOOKED AND MY DATE IS ALL BOOKED UP WHAT CAN I DO...WOULD I WIN IF I SUED HIM??? HELP STRESSED BRIDE!!!

Yes you would win if you had to pay more money to book another hall because of them breaking a contract with you. In order to sue for stress you would have to prove that they deliberately set out to cause you harm resulting in money damages.
Do you have a family member or friend that has a house or garden big enough to hold your wedding party? Is there a park or resort close to your home many will have areas that would be suitable for a beautiful wedding to be held. Check your favorite restaurants many have areas they can section off for such an event. Many will even help you with your cake set up and decorations. My husband and I had our receptions at O'Charleys in Gatlinburg, Tenn, they were so nice to us and had everything set up and ready before we arrived. They kept our cake refrigerated for us until we arrived. Many Apartment Communities have club houses that they will rent to guest so check with everyone you know to see if they rent an apartment with a community that offers this to their renters.
