I was un wantingly touced by an assistant mmger and no one is taking it serioulsy enough, but for 8.00 an hour, ijus want to get the hell out of there, but not worry about financial problems right away.

Harassment is serious. You need to know your rights. If you are in the us go to www.eeoc.gov and click on Harassment. If what you are experiencing is outlined here, then it's time to report it - even if you leave. When harassment goes unreported it makes the workplace in general less productive.
It may also be helpful for you to speak to an attorney who understands employment law in the area you work in.
Lastly, if you say nothing and quit, you compromise your eligibility for unemployment. |

Absolutely. You could also (although it's not a simple process) sue your employer for fostering a hostile work environment.
Please make sure you've gone through all possible channels to report the harassment though. It's best to do it in writing. I only mention this because if "no one is taking your claims seriously", chances are they're not going to be exactly honest when it comes to dealings in the future (like when you file for unemployment). |
