Most community colleges offer courses to become a Paralegal. As many law offices as there are around, they seem to always be in demand. Good luck!

colleges or university will offer law and accounting courses.

you could try home study packs by signing up for study with the recognised body associations.

for accounting try ACCA as a start.

if you wish, you could do an AAT (association of accounting technicians) course at a local college, this is a 3 year course and gives a very good background in accounting before you take professional exams.

The AAT also is in demand and there are plenty of jobs out there for AAT qualified people and they use it to get on to the professional exams.

You need to take accounting classes, pre law classes and admin courses.

I refused to take any "advanced basket weaving" classes and stuck to my core, 3 years after I started attending college part time I landed my job in accounting.

Start with some education and then be ready to start at the bottom (my first accounting job was a part time copy & file girl). Work harder than anyone else and always be willing to learn new things and skills.

Have you asked yourself why you want to get into a career in accounting or legal secretary? I can't get away from both accounting and law fast enough.

If you're still studying, try to find a part-time job in these fields so when you graduate you have some experience which helps getting your foot in the door for a full time job.

If you're not studying either of these then consider doing so, even if it is a diploma (especially for accounting) rather than a bachelor degree. Most accounting related job will require some sort of qualification.

If you have no legal secretary work experience then it will depend on luck whether the law firm is willing to hire without experience.

And you will *REALLY* need to be good with paying attention to detail . . . for both fields! A clerical error at one law firm recently cost that firm $14m in a lawsuit.
