I discovered what a criminal record is and I know that I did not do anything ( I have never been arrested, charged...). So i do not need to bring anything?

You should still have an agency run your information and produce a print-out that shows no criminal history. That is proof for the employer, and actually makes you look even more desirable as a candidate! |

Welcome to America!!! Bring any papers you do have. You'll have the opportunity to state that you have no criminal record. And after that our government will do the checking. Just don't lie about anything. Welcome again and have a great time. |

The American company wants to see that you have no criminal background. Explain to the police department where you are from that you need a letter explaining that you have no criminal background. Make sure it is signed. The company might also need the letter to be notarized and apostilled (unlikely but possible). Confirm with the company whether or not you need to go through these extra steps. |
