You cannot just volunteer for jury duty..you have to be summoned

Jury duty is based on a database of registered voters.

I think you may have to wait until they call you up as I think it is triggered by a computer system. Not sure though.

There are many other volunteer opportunities available such as working in an animal shelter, hospital, or so many non-profit organizations are always looking for volunteers.

Or volunteer by answering questions on Yahoo Answers to help others :-)
