yes you should. its law!!

Depends on your state. Where I reside depending if it is the private or public sector and a number of other factors a lunch break is not required by law. However, if you decide not to take a lunch break make sure you are being paid for that hour.

You should. Normally a work day is 8 hours and you only get paid for 7 hours because the extra hour is your lunch break--they are not paying for that.

For example, my day is always 8:30 - 4:30 but I only get paid for 7 hours. I take one hour lunch.

No, but you're are required by law to take at least a PAID 15 minute break.

First off, there are no federal laws for "lunch break". There are some state laws, so check your state laws.

I worked in a place that they insisted that you take the break. That protects them from any labor dispute if they can prove that they have given you the correct amount of breaks and lunch times according to the law.

if its in california, yes you have to. If not, it depends on your state's law. every state is different.

It's up to you but legally for every five hours you work you must have a 30 minute break.
