This is the question that people often ask themselves somewhere early on in their career. Part of your personal responsibility is to leverage what you have learned both educationally and experiencially. Long in the short, if you have meaningful work experience, then you should never have to take a reduction in pay. Plus, you would be trading off a bird in the hand for a bush. Plus, you really don't understand the company that you are considering working for. It is a perspective that you will only gain from working for the company. Net-net, don't do it! Only move for something that is better from day one! Research to find the best job that allows you to receive compensation for accepting the risk of the unknown. Good luck!

just trying to make a difference
nay - go for the opportunities!

It's not for me or anyone else to tell you what to do Lynn, you have to make this decision yourself!
The crux of the question is what matters most to you:
Long-term prospects or short-term convenience/pay?
Only you can decide this.
I suspect you already know the answer, but are just seeking reassurance?
Have faith in your conviction!

nay - go for the new job!

Depends a lot on your age. If you are happy where you are and in the early part of your career you can afford to wait. Keep making the most money , while seeking a job that offers you everything you want.
