You are referring to in legal terms "wrongful termination." If you do have a case most attorneys will take the case on contingency. Meaning you do not pay a dime until the case is settled. If they lose the case you are still off the hook and do not need to pay them. If no attorney is willing to take your case on contingency that should send you a signal you have no grounds.

What are your grounds? "At will employment" means employers can terminate any employee at any time for any reason -- or no reason at all. Your chances of any kind of suit for being terminated are incredibly thin.

Furthermore, no way will you find someone to represent you pro bono. If you have valid grounds for suing a former employer for wrongful termination, there will be a suit for monetary damages and the attorney will take 33 - 40% plus all costs.
