I got fired from my job over some he said-she said and it all was a lie.?

the people i work for are korean, and the manager doesn't really understand english, so he never came and said anything to me. he wasn't even the one who fired me. it's alot of fishey stuff goin on there, and i need to file a complaint. i work 9 hours a day, 5 days a week, and i only get one 30 min break. and i don't get paid time-in-a half for the overtime i work. who do i contact about this issue. illinios law says that if u work over 7 hours, u get a 1 hour break, and two 15 minute breaks. what do i do?

Get a new job...One that doesn't make you work like a child laborer in Korea

Isn't it a bit late for that now that you have been fired? Sounds like sour grapes to me. Move on and let it go.

Sorry, but Illinois law says nothing of the kind. IF they position allows, the company CAN give you a 30 minute lunch break. IF they require you to punch out for this 30 minutes, then you must have 30 minutes of uninterrupted time away from the work area. IF the position does not allow uninterrupted time, then they must pay you for your lunch break.

With your logic, how could police officers, firefighters, hotel workers, etc get a lunch break? Nadda.

Now if you were not paid for hours worked, or you were not paid for overtime AND you can prove it, then contact the department of labor. They will look into for you and you may be entitled to back pay. Other than that, there is nothing you can do and you would be better served focusing your efforts on finding a new job

Good Luck.

Be sure to file complaints with every state and federal board because your ex-employer will leave a negative reference in regards to the reason you were fired. That way it helps in finding future employment. My ex- employer, fidelity mortgage warehouse, lied about internet abuse after I complained about hostile work environment. He is in cahoots with another former employer who spread lies about me attacking a co-worker with a knife. They will lie about anything to keep from giving you unemployment benefits.

call the labor board for your area. So that the next employee isnt treated the same!

gimeabrak2000
google
then employment complaints
the + city and state
and that should get you going
you should take the time to do something
good luck

if this job is worth it, i would file a complaint so future employees don't have to suffer. this business needs to be more aware of the laws of illionois and you can be the one to bring it to there attention. it will take patience and consistency if you have those qualities go for it. also it may have been fate that you lost that job due to the fact there is a better one out there for you. this is destiny. perhaps you will land a good job that you enjoy, with fair employee treatment. hope this helps. good luck.
