Now my new employers require my P45 form which dates as me leaving a job in 2004. I lied I worked somewhere and now i'm in danger of being found out.......I know its my fault and shouldn't have lied or at least match the date when I left a particular job with the job I have lied about....if that makes sense....lol
I was thinking of just saying to them that I can't find my new copy of my P45 you think that will work??

P.S. I have my P45 form, but it dates to 2004 as me having left my job back then, so I will take that to them. You think that would be ok?

Just say sorry, you lost it .. people loose theses forms all the time .. the Tax Office will work it out .. |

Depending on what your new employment is you could very well get found out that you have lied on your application form. At the very least this could cost you your new job. Was it really worth lying over it?
Most employers take you on a 12 or 16 week probation, this is due to them being able to do your background check. Chances are they will find out you lied to them.
a P45 from 2004 will now be out of date so you will need to fill in a P46 even if you do give them the P45 that you have.
